VEIL LIVING
FAQ

Answers, before you ask.

01

Will an VEIL LIVING cover affect my HVAC performance?

No. Every VEIL LIVING cover is engineered around your unit's manufacturer-spec airflow. Louver spacing, free area, and clearance are designed so the unit performs identically to being uncovered. If anything, the shade extends compressor life on the south-facing walls.

02

Do I need a contractor to install it?

Most residential covers install in under 45 minutes with two people and basic hand tools. Mini-split covers wall-mount over the existing unit; central AC covers assemble around the condenser in place — no need to lift the unit. Line-set channels and commercial rooftop enclosures should be installed by a licensed contractor.

03

Will it stand up to snow, ice, and freeze-thaw cycles?

Yes. Marine-grade aluminum with UV-stable powder coat is rated for full four-season exposure. For heavy snow-load regions, pair with our Snow Shield accessory to divert falling ice and snow from wall-mounted units.

04

Can I service my unit without removing the cover?

Yes. Every cover uses removable panels — technicians can access coils, refrigerant valves, and the electrical disconnect without dismounting the enclosure. Coil cleaning takes the same time as an uncovered unit.

05

Will my HOA approve it?

In our experience, VEIL LIVING covers make HOA approval easier, not harder — most HOAs actively require exposed equipment to be concealed. We can provide product spec sheets and dimensional drawings for your HOA submission. Contact us before you order and we'll send what you need.

06

How do I match the color to my house?

We offer Matte Black, Bone White, Bronze, and Charcoal as stock finishes. For a custom color match, order our Touch-Up Paint Pen in a stock color to test on your trim, or contact us about custom powder-coat matching (available on orders over $2,000).

07

What if my unit is a non-standard size?

Check the sizing guide first — most residential units fall into our standard sizes. If yours doesn't, contact us with the unit's brand, model, and dimensions and we'll quote a custom size. Custom covers add 2–3 weeks to lead time.

08

Is this available for commercial rooftop equipment?

Yes — that's what our Unicover line is for. It handles straight-run, L-shape, U-shape, and full four-sided enclosures for commercial HVAC screening. Custom heights and lengths available.
